Dr. Angela Meyer Sterzik is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English and Writing at the University of Tampa and holds a PhD in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from York University. Her research interests include academic literacy, critical reading, writing pedagogy, TESOL, gender identity, body image, and women’s experiences in male-dominated combat sports. A third-degree black belt and judo practitioner since the age of nine, she integrates applied linguistics, feminist inquiry, and lived experiences into her research.
