Oxford 2026

8th Global Conference on Women’s Studies

The 8th Global Conference on Women’s Studies was held from March 27-29, 2026 in Oxford, UK, encompassing a diverse array of sessions, both in person at the venue and virtually. The conference served as a platform for international collaboration and knowledge sharing on important issues related to women’s studies.

The 8th edition attracted experts from all around globe, such as the United States, Uganda, Montenegro, India, South Africa, China, UK, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Lebanon, Italy and other countries and regions. These experts discussed issues such as women in the workplace, gender, representation, identity, feminism, activism, health, sexuality, and more, with numerous papers presented in each category.

The distinguished university associate professor of art and design at Central Connecticut State University, Dr. Peggy Ann Bloomer, delivered a keynote Presentation titled “When Women Refuse: Misreading Women’s Bodies, Survival, and Authority.” The conference also owes a debt of gratitude to our highlighted speakers Ms. Avion Diana Spencer and Ms. Ellen Bomasang, whose research were inspiring and innovative.
